Position Overview
The Director of Information Technology (IT) is responsible for shaping and executing the company's IT strategy to drive business growth and customer value. Reporting to the Senior Director of Strategic Operations & Facilities, this role ensures that IT systems and infrastructure align with business goals, enabling scalability, reliability, security, and cost-efficiency.
This position serves as the technical leader for the IT department, focusing on the development and implementation of ERP solutions, infrastructure management, and strategic IT initiatives that create operational efficiencies and competitive advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement IT initiatives to enhance the company's competitive position and profitability.
- Translate business goals into IT strategies and communicate their importance to executives, IT teams, and employees.
- Lead, motivate, and develop IT staff to meet current and future business requirements.
- Ensure the organizational structure supports operational and strategic needs.
- Work closely with senior leadership to align IT systems with business objectives.
- Facilitate cross-functional cooperation to develop technology-based solutions.
- Design and oversee IT infrastructure to support business strategies, ensuring flexibility and scalability.
- Drive continuous improvement through ITIL frameworks and service desk optimization.
- Architect and implement ERP and technical solutions that enhance stability and scalability.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions while considering long-term supportability.
- Develop and enforce IT policies and procedures to ensure consistency and best practices.
- Safeguard the organization against IT risks, including unauthorized access, data integrity issues, and service disruptions.
- Establish metrics to assess IT performance in terms of cost efficiency, value creation, and customer satisfaction.
- Support various strategic initiatives as required.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field; MBA preferred.
- 12+ years of relevant IT experience, including at least 5 years in IT management.
- Proven leadership in a dynamic IT environment, with expertise in systems implementation, technical oversight, and strategic planning.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to execute strategies effectively.
- Solid understanding of architecture, security, compliance, and budget management.
- Exceptional communication, conflict resolution, and time management skills.
- Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and service desk operations.
- Experience with e-commerce platforms such as Magento, PHP, and M-Connect.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
